About
Dr. Patil received his medical and postgraduate degree in Internal Medicine from Government Medical College in Aurangabad, India. He then worked in Jaslok and Nanwati Hospital in Bombay. Subsequently, he worked in several NHS hospitals in UK and worked as a Senior Registrar in Cardiology at Kings College Hospital in London under the mentorship of Dr. Martyn Thomas. He was awarded the "Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training in Cardiology" and is also a European Society of Cardiology accredited Cardiologist. He is a member of Royal College of Physicians of London and also worked as a Consultant in Cardiology at Queen Elizabeth Hospital at Woolwich, London.
In the U.S. he completed his residency in Internal Medicine from New York Medical College Soundshore Program. He then did one year of Heart Failure and Heart Transplant fellowship from Newark Beth Israel Hospital. He went on to complete General Cardiology fellowship from Westchester Medical Center of New York Medical College and an Interventional Cardiology fellowship from Lenox Hill Hospital at New York City.
Dr. Patil is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology, and Adult Echocardiography. Apart from proficiency in non-invasive procedures such as transesophageal echo, stress echocardiography, and nuclear stress testing, he has performed many complex coronary, peripheral interventions, and pacemaker implantations. He believes compassion and excellent professional relationships with patients contributes significantly towards their successful treatment outcomes.
His other interests include outdoor activities, classical music, reading, and world politics.
